The pic is demonstrating what a lat pulldown is. The handle he's pulling on is connected to a pully with some plates on the other end. He pulls it down toward his chest and then lets it back up.

You know one of those that you bend together and when you relese it gets back to being a straight "stick". Anyway he slipped on one of the handles and it got real bad. blood all over the place, still funny as hell...
