So now as he says we can play burned Xbox games without using any kind of chips. This is awsome. P.S. imo this thread is about protection bitchin'

1. This is old news. 2. Afaik he won't release the hacked firmware. 3. If he would release it - how would you get the hacked firmware in your DVD drive? It would be more difficult than all other mod solutions. 4. It's an inferior hack than all other mod solutions since you can't run homebrew and imports. Imo this is only interesting regarding Xbox360 hacking since a solution like that for the 360 would be better than nothing at all for the next months/years.

This was only intended to be progress towards 360 hacking. Putting the firmware on the drive wouldnt be hard, just put into your pc and it can be flashed. Its good its not released anyway, since you can play copies on live with it. Which isnt a very good thing.

Sounds like bullshit to me. i have a firmware hack for the xbox360. No really, but i dont wanna release it in public. Copyright my ass. Why make it just for personal use. He just wants some attention.

He never said the 360 Skid. I believe he has hacked the normal Xbox drive.

I also believe he has. I mean there's too many reputable people backing him up for it to be fake. He doesn't want to release it for fear of killing Live i think.

All the details and research involved in the hack are on xboxhacker.net forum... Releasing it isnt a good thing so some kids can play on live for free, probably fucking it up anyway.

For the guys that think this is about a xbox 360. This is about a regular xbox not a 360. He means the work is done because it can be done without a chip or softmod. Just changing the firmware is ennuf. (still sounds like a mod to me, since the firmware is hacked) But i dont care about the old xbox anymore. I have it i enjoy it and it does everything i want. But its the 360 i liked to see modded
