Hey, has anyone tried these DOOM 3 mods? They are unbelievable! They remade the original DOOM E1M1 through E1M9 with the DOOM 3 engine. The models weren't redone, still DOOM 3 models, but who cares the maps are verbatim to DOOM. Last Man Standing is a mod that allows you to play DOOM 3 or Classic DOOM 3 in COOP! They work really good and it brings back the good 'ol days of FPS.

Here are some links:

These modders are remaking the entire original DOOM with the DOOM 3 engine. They are not stopping on E1M7:

Let me know if you have tried them or if you try them now what did you think? I played them the other day and was floored. The maps are extremely high quality!

What?! Hell no, I just played it. I am in the crowd that wishes they would have done DOOM 3 like this. A remake of DOOM would have been great. I liked DOOM 3 don't get me wrong. I just liked the original better.

Classic DOOM 3 is the 1993 DOOM remade with the DOOM 3 engine. Unfortunately Classic is only E1M1 through E1M9. They are stopping right there and not going to finish it. Classic DOOM 3 1.0 is based on the Kneed Deep In Dead episode. Also, DeathMatch is included and can be played on all the single/COOP maps.

DOOM Reborn modded by a different group is going to be the entire 1993 DOOM remade with the DOOM 3 engine.

Wouldn't it absolutely pwn if Castle Wolfenstein was completely remade with a engine of today! I still think the Atari Jaguar version is the best to date. Smile

If you go to the Classic DOOM 3 link from about and go to their Forums. There are picks from the MP COOP part of Classic DOOM 3. You get to see 2 players fighting against some of the monsters. Once I saw that I was like DAMN!!! That pwns!!!

disconnect from Internet when u are playing Doom 3 and Doom ROE (expansion) or use a Firewall. Find a keygen and change the cd-key in the registry.

That's sounds great! I remember beating DOOM 3 on medium and wishing I had a friend to help me out during many difficult areas. The cool thing is they didn't just use all DOOM 3 models for everything. They made their own logos and textures for the UAC and so on. They did a great job! However, It is dark and you have no flash light! So it is hard core DOOM just the way I like it! You beat DOOM 3 and ROE and now this, you've really accomplished something! LOL!

Well, it is a full game in the sense that in each level everything is there, it's polished very well and finished. It is 9 maps long starting at E1M1 and stopping after E1M9. But DOOM the original 1993 version had 3 Episodes with a 4th added later:

1 Knee-Deep in the Dead
2 The Shores of Hell
3 Inferno
4 Thy Flesh Consumed (I believe this was added in Ultimate DOOM, so long ago...)

This is only Knee-Deep in the Dead. You only need DOOM 3 with the newest 1.03 patch installed to play. The mod is of course a free download.

DOOM Reborn is aiming at all 4 episodes when completed. When that will be I am not sure. I am extremely looking forward to the rocket arena showdown with the Cyber Demon.

The only thing I actually hated from the new DOOM 3 models was that there was no Baron of Hell pink flesh colored goat headed demon. As far as I know there were only Hell Knights in DOOM 3 and I thought they didn't look good. I know that in the new DOOM everything evolved from human's (At least that's what the movie says Rolling Eyes . The crackling of his plasma shots when he was in close. Seeing that goat headed behemoth lumbering toward you as you strafed him to death with your shotgun was a sight to behold! Ahh, the gold 'ol days!
