|
 |
Ok, before everyone flames me, I do know what I'm doing when it comes to re-authoring, ripping, editting, etc, etc. I've been doing this for over 3 years, so I am more than familiar with the procedures and work involved with the progz. However, here are my dilemnas.
Dawn of the Dead UNRATED - booZers
I used ISObuster to decrypt the *.img file, and extract the entire VIDEO_TS filder to the HD. Unfortunately, I deleted the *.img file, so all I have now is the VIDEO_TS folder. I PREFER to burn with Nero 5.5, because its compatible with all 5 of my settop DVD players. Just a preference, willing to try with others.
Problem is, whenever I add the *.vob files, *.bup files, and *.ifo files, the sonovabitch decides that its not going to let me burn because of 'errors', but asks me if I want to burn anyways. I tried 3 methods, but its not working.
I had tried ripping just the movie only, without the menus, however, I want the menus. I tried using IFOedit to repair the ifo and bup files, and it got me jack shit.
Anyone else care to help me out here? Any info or help would be appreciated.

Does anyone care to reply, or does everyone think that my question/problem is "too ignorant" for them to be bothered with? Personally, I think its a valid question.

Why do you insist on re authoring it? Just burn the img directly to a dvd

Because when I try to burn it, it gives me errors, and yes, it lets me burn, but when I try to play it on my standalone DVD player (any 1 of the 5) it gives me so many errors that its not even funny.
On another topic, I have tried to burn the *.img file with DVD Decrypter. It didnt help at all. What do you use to burn yours?
EDIT: I also forgot to mention that I don't ONLY use DVD Decrypter. It was just something I was trying. It didnt work. I normally use Nero.

this is just an idea I dunno if it'll work, but.............
how about trying something like dvdshrink or intervideo dvdcopy 2 to reorder your files,
as the size is already dvd5 there shouldn't be any reencoding but they may make the files compatible with nero
I'm as guilty of anyone for this, but sometimes we can look for the complicated solution when the simple one click programs can provide the answer.

I just tried your idea, about using DVD Shrink, or DVD Decrypter. (I dont have Intervideo) Each time I try to open the file, DVD Shrink gives me an error, saying that it cant continue. I personally think that its because this particular *.img file was from a Region 3 retail DVD. Any other ideas, guys? Anything would be appreciated.
