i have windows xp sp2 pro

and other computer has xp1 pro

for some reason they cant find each other on the network

also other computer that has sp1 on it

gets an error message trying to repair the network connection

the error message is...

error message

can anyone please help me,

Can you give details on the network? Router? Using TCP/IP?

If you are using TCP/IP, what IP is assigned to each computer on your LAN? Can you ping one another?

More details please....

the network is going threw a cable router by linksys wireless router g

using tcp/ip

each computer is signed to router ip 192.168.1.1

sp2 has ip 192.168.1.5
sp1 has ip 192.168.1.7

and yes we can ping each other

try typing \\192.168.1.7 in an explorer window.
