Yep, ditto here. It seems that the latest update may be the culprit.

looks like I'll be switching to symantec client security. I'm glad I still have this baby and it seems to have everything I need, ad filtering and whatnot. Yeah it was some weird update, only the virus defs and NIS resources update were updated. It may be resources update that causes the trial expiration

just that the firewall and antivirus for client security are not integrated into one process like ccApp for NIS. There's rtvscan, vptray, defwatch, etc so it takes up an additional ~20MB or so of memory. Functionally they're really similar except for antispam which I don't even need.

It's good enough for me until someone releases a fix for NIS

Happened to me today with Norton Antivirus 2006. After 30 minutes after receiving the latest update, my trial has expired.

Just wait for a fix, I think that's the only way.

Someone wrote that even legit users got this problem, is that true? If so Symantec will release a fix as fast as possible.

i guess it was just a matter of time before symantec did something like this.
after all _everyone_ is running it on the same serial number.
a keygen is badly needed.

mabey they increased the encryption, so keygen becomes impossible.

I use Zone Alarm Suite 6. Works great for a firewall and it has been the editors choice of pcmagazine and cnet for 2006. It also is an antivirus and spam protector. It installs much faster than norton and is more responsive. Plust it does not need activation just the classic key.

Now perhaps people will see norton for what it is..a virus! I've been fielding phone calls all day. I quite liked NAV once but firewall has been poked since Norton bought out A-Guard. That was a good Firewall. So kapersky and zone alarm is go even though both are becoming as bloated as Symantec, they aren't quite as bad yet.

yep me too oh well all good things and that, hoping for a solution soon.

As for framerate, the 360 version runs smooth, while the PS3 is a jaggy mess that chugs along in slow motion.
