yes its confirmed as released to stores on the 23rd in some countries. North America is still waiting for it. Personally I feel the added difficultly in this expansion could seriously damage the franchise in terms of level of rabid sheep fans.

While it might actually make the game more enjoyable for those who can grasp how things work, its going to add to the frustration the average player suffers. If you've spent any time at The Sims 2 BBS you know that a lot of them can barely operate a mouse let alone manage a complex business system.

Maxis is slowly pushing up the system requirements with each release. I believe they are listed the same as Nightlife, but early reports suggest this slows things down considerably. No doubt there are a host of bugs and poor optimizations to partly blame.

Yes. It looks like it could make the game actually a challenge to play and include goals that would drive that play. This EP is likely a direct result of the non-stop whining on the BBS to follow our sims to work. I hope when most of them turn around and say "This is too hard" Maxis slaps them, tells them to shut up and let them do their work from now on.

While I can appreciate the potential of a game like the sims, there are elements of the community that really ruin the experience.

I wonder if it'll be cracked bay tomorrow! Anyway, I think that it's good Maxis is adding a challenge to Sims 2, I mean the game was not that hard and a small challenge like this was always missing!

I miss the glory days of the scene. I remember when we got Sims EPs days before they were released in stores, not days after.

I think OfB won't be such a big challenge as any other Sims game (that's may be only for me), and it will get easier to play with more practising.

The release date varies b/w 28 feb - 3 march so we still have time to get the game "days before". Wink

The expansions are really nice thing for the real fans of the sims series. Especially when they change the gameplay so much.

So true, i played Nightlife for some time, then got bored of it, and now i havent touched
the game for a very very long time. The whole series has tired me, i didnt get bored
of the previous installements back in the days so easily than i do now.

Definetly gonna try the new expansion for some time, but im sure i get bored of it
fast unless it brings smth very addicitve, which i doubt. Guess my taste has changed
over years, now i would die for a long lasting RTS Smile

Maybe im just getting too old for it Shocked

read the review site and the previews, they're all saying that there is a significant challenge compared to previous sims games.

Quite a few people want a pets add-on, more than anything else. I think Maxis will save it for another EP or two (they're planning 7 again) just to string them along through some of the crap (like university)

Well, this game could add new life back into the SIMS 2 universe. It has been stagnant that's for sure. I will give this a try. I always thought they should make an expansion pack called Private Eye or CSI or something. Your SIM has to solve a murder or something like the Fugitive! That would pwn!

LOL! No why, is there some show that has that going on?

Downloading now! SafeDisc protection so I am guessing we can expect a crack very soon!

I am not a big Clone fan Sad
