I'm using Bulletproof FTP and have a problem dling files sizes larger than ca. 1,5 GB - when I queue them the file size is stated as "0" and whenever download is interrupted, I cannot resume but must start all over again - is that my old bpftp version or another problem?

Thanks for the help!

Can the reason for this be Win 98 together with FAT32 file system? Can I convert FAT32 to NTFS under Win 98? As far as I know that doesn't work...

I don't know the answer to your first question, but to answer the second, no you cannot use NTFS on Win98.

(NT) (F)ile(S)ystem is used only on Windows 2000 and XP.

As for file size, as far as I know Win98 FAT32 should still handle up to a 4gig single file

Switch client ?
I'd recommend giving flashfxp a try.

it has nothing to do with filesystems
note that all ftp server software do not support resuming
most clients do, but not all of them, either
so i would guess it's just either crappy server software OR, more probably, you have your resume settings sideways in your client
so just check the client properties

Nope, it does resume on smaller files, so settings are correct and it's a resumable source. I'll try another ftp client, maybe that's the problem...

FlashFXP does not work, already tried it...

It isn't the problem of the FAT32 system...FAT32 supports maximum file sizes of 4GB. And although very old, the OS shouldn't be the problem too.

I don't know which version of Bulletproof FTP you're using but I think that there's the problem.
Try updating to a newer version, version 2.45 should work with Win98SE...
