|
 |
Hey guys,
Here's the situation...I recently tried patching Pariah to v1.03 (it's been out a while but this patch has not yet been cracked). Anyway, I heard that the game would work with the uncracked v1.03 patch provided that a mini-image is used. So I found a mini-image, patched to v1.03, mounted the MI in DT, and then received a message stating that emulation software was detected. I tried multiple things, uninstalling/re-installing CureROM, DT, A120, etc, and in the end, thanks to post on the orange forum, uninstalling CloneCD by Slysoft did the trick. Why the hell does the copy protection think that CloneCD is an emulation software like DT or A120?? Also, is there any other way to get around this problem (i.e. leave CloneCD installed and still be able to run SD4 protected games)?
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

Why do you even use CloneCD nowadays? It was good a long time ago, nowadays A120% beats it by far.
I don't think there is any real solution to the problem as you can't set your own device names in CloneCD thus making any newer copy prot find it easliy.
Behold his GLORY! Bow for the technical master!
