Im not worried driver pl will come soon but the godfather isnt until next week the 21. unless an early release witch im hoping for.

Insted you should ask where is world peace? what's the meaning of life? who created the world? where is Bin Laden? what is Michael Jackson?

Here, here. We should all have a minutes silence for those men that took the money to trial cancer/leukemia drugs and ended up with heads "inflated to 3 times there normal size" and "looked like the elephant man". Ouch, thats gotta hurt. Crying or Very sad

On topic I thought it was a pretty good start to the week for games - Commandos, Taito Legends 2 (looks like it has some great games on it), Midnight Club 3 remix and Rainbow Six: Critical Hour. I'll no doubt save them to the end of the week/weekend. MLB 2K6 is due next week as well which for me promises to be one of the best sports games ever and arguably the best Baseball game ever made. Smile

Im wondering two things at the moment.

1. did anyone try out the several new releases this week? Iif so mini reviews please Razz - im in the process of burning them now but won't get the chance to play them much tonight.

2. did anyone manage to squeeze Midnight Club 3 remix onto a DVD5? its too big to simply delete the dashupdate.xbe and the file stucture isn't the generic type where you can simply browse through the folders looking for the languages which don't correspond to your personal choice. Anyone.... (no biggy if it isn't possible I just wondered - I'll maybe try downsampling some of the vids over the weekend you only have to lose around 150 megs so should be easy enough)

edit.....nevermind my MC3 Remix prob fixed it myself now fits onto DVD5.

1.) only game ive bothered to bring home was driver 4, but i dont think ill even burn it. it will probably end up with frustration. will see.

ice age 2 looks decent though, ill take that one home for da kidz.

godfather...have no clue about it. no one wants to put up a mini review about that one in ps2 section. PALLE! where art thou!? Very Happy

2.) skipping this one.

3.) im dreaming of es4:oblivion and watching the countdown videos. that game looks mighty wicked. this might be the game that pushes me over the edge to buy the 360.

That Taito Legends 2 pack looked nice though Nailbiter? lots of cracking games and small filesize for such a collection bearing in mind that when they did Capcom Classics the collection weighed in at over 3 gigs. I was also wondering if anyone had tryed the Rainbow Six Critical Hour game, looks like utter pap from the previews that I read but im gonna check it out simply for the nostalgia of playing some revamped old school Rainbow Six levels - thats me presuming its the game that I think it is?.

ah thx. missed taito L2, grabbing it now. i like those collections. many doesnt give you the option of cheating like mame emus do. nice menus and bonuses as well. hell yeah!

This one does give you the option of cheating in that you get infinite continues but its still a very worthy addition to the collection. Very eclectic mix of 25 games with a nice frontend, instuctions and original flyer art/cabinet for each game. Only problem I noticed was that SOME of the games have a squashed look about them on my widescreen tv which is very noticable when the Taito logo comes up at the start of the games, others than those games looking slightly squashed they along with the rest run perfectly.

Played some of the games on this pack last night along with the rest of the new Xbox releases and my favourite was probably Midnight Club 3 remix. Although graphically it looks a little rough, as a street racing game it just feels so complete and doesn't have the kind of rigid repetitive racing that make others boring after the first several hours - the OST is cracking as well, huge list of over 50 licensed tracks so large infact that when flicking through the track list in game it takes a good few minutes to scroll through the whole list. Other than the typical cheesy street racing stereotypes in career mode i.e. latino garage owners that insist on calling you "Holmes" this is a very good game.

Ice Age 2 seemed ideal as a kids games, from a quality perspective it reminded me of the Madagascar game that came out last year which isn't a bad thing.

Both Commandos and Driver 4 seemed above average although I'll need to invest more time in them to form definitive opinions and Rainbow Six Critical Hour wasn't half bad if you like the console style of the previous Rainbow Six games (not lockdown the games prior to that), I was correct in thinking that this is the game that gives you the opportunity to replay classic Rainbow Six missions - personally I prefer the PC originals but it ain't bad, multiplayer Xbox Live play is probably the games strong point. Smile
