Is this the same game as last year that makes you wait through 1 hour solid of waffle (unskippable) before you even get to take a foot step, but with a new camera angle ?
I dare not try this as my telly came with-in mico seconds of being thrown through the window last time.
Just to make sure, this is the game with that solid snake guy?
I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????

It's the exact same game jonels, but with a new camera. The camera is well worth a second playthrough, it's just too awesome, almost like a new experience.
No Splinter.
Kojima have even said that there is no time for a port. He is completley dedicated to MGS4.

I was very disapointed by Snake Eater, loved 1, loved 2, but the third one didn't do it for me.
I had borrowed a PS2 especially for this game (i just had to play it) and play it on a 14cm tv(had no other choice), in most situation i couldn't even see snake. prefered the the secret bases like in the previous ones.
MGS4 looks good tho, if the environments are like in the trailer it can be fun.

Could anyone post a comparison screenshot between the old camera and the new one ?
Cuz I haven't played the original version and I would like to know why everybody is hyped
about that new camera thingy ...

The camera is always what have been annoying me in MGS games. I did finish 1 and 2 but never did finish Snake Eater, so now that this is out then this is great.
Also, to Under: Check out the video review on Gamespot, where they at times switch between the old and new camera so you can see how it was and is.

This is how limited the old camera is. You can't see crap infront of you. You had to go into first-person perspective to see what was infront of you.

The old camera is still there too, and it's better in some situations than the new camera. |
I always saw this as artistic direction rather than a game flaw.
I enjoyed the static camera in the MGS 1, 2 games (never played 3 sorry, looks so dumb ).

Dont get me wrong sTo0z, I liked it too, alot. I just made a simple description of it compared to the new camera. |
Oh oh, gotcha, glad you approve.
kirkblitz, lol, sorry man, I was jumpin' out of my seat when they announced new MGS, then I saw jungle setting + I hate the direction they took the story (the past) and some of the gameplay elements (eating animals) totally turned me off.
