I run with xecuter chip and XBMC setup to HDTV widescreen NTSC, and try to run it from harddisk i just get black screen

running fine from hdd or disc...on tsop and softmod... uk pal not standard res...

never had an issue with xbmc for games...works well for me...probably just the build...my personal pref is ek6 builds

XBMC works fine for me too, as far as I'm concerned I cannot even begin to imagine why anyone would run any of that other stuff... evox=basic with a capital 'boring' ...it's like comparing DOS to WindowsXP

I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????

to be honest i have never really had any issue with any dash for running games other than the occasional game like supermonkeyball that needed either ther vid switcher or unleashx to run well.... on my main box i have evox,unleashx,xbmc & avalaunch and for 99.9% of games it doesnt matter which i use...
evox reliably boring
unleashx, great for tricky ntsc games (on pal box)
xbmc - the king - media heaven
avalaunch - qwix - say no more...

i think most xbox games are not hdtv compatible... certainly pal arent as pal machines wont do hdtv without eeprom mod...correct me if i'm wrong, or send me a hdtv to try Wink

I just wont work. now i tried to disable all HDTV, and set it to Normal screen istead of widescreen. also tried the game mode in XBMC with NTSC/60.

Have you tried hard-changing the region of you're xbox to PAL, some games are set to run in eeprom default mode, this is fine for the country of origin but means if you run say a PAL game on an NTSC machine the auto-region feature will fail to make the change in this situation. Of course don't do it unless you know for sure you're telly will accept a PAL signal.
