even though it's an old game, gamespot is still announcing it on it's website in the "latest and greatest". Also in the top 10 of the day in pc games.

heh... I was wondering the same till I looked it up here and found out it was released half a year ago. For some obscure reason I didn't get it back then, and now the only place I found it zipped up (2GB compared to a 4.3GB ISO) was on eDonkey. It took me 3 damn days to download it from there...
But it was worth it. Funny game once you get into it.

Yeah I imported it like last august or something.
Some company called interact was the only way to get it over here, it was out in English, but it hadn't been released. Only a russian version, which while available and worked..well it was in Russian.

well played it for a couple of hours and even though it's a pretty open-ended game, it might have needed some little linear story. or maybe i'm just missing the point.

Well there is a story. You can build up and go fight the dominators. As you play they invade and are driven back from various systems so the universe changes all the time.
One thing I hated was how certain people can just start hating you for no reason. I got a mission to goto a system and when I got there everyone was all over me. Not good becuase I couldn't finish the mission.

depending on which class you decide to be in the character creation, some have different diplomatic status. it's all in the description.

game is great. very very addictive. i've been playing for hours with out an break. really sad. its a pain to earn enough cash for the better ships tho. found 1 ship for 100k i wanted but i couldnt save that much. also it cost tons to upgrade. dont get me wrong i like it, makes you work for it.

What I got from it was that that particular race was pretty hard to get along with. Its annoying because the last time I was there, all was good, next time suddenly I can't fly 10 feet without 6 ships bearing down on me.
Taking missions is a bit hit and miss with stuff like that.

well might been becuse you have done missions for them and failed? then they got an atitude on bad vs you. or the missions is something they dont agree on? not really sure, expect on the first thing i said.
