Looks nice, the screenshot showing off the guy's face look particulary good, especially the gloss effect on his eyes.

Don't care about gfx, just want a good gameplay and story. It can have 5 year-old-like prerendered scenes for all I care.

Waooh,

Alone in the Dark... it reminds me my old days on Atari or 386SX (don't remember exactly when this saga has begun and on which plateform). I really enjoyed the first episodes (when u was controlling a pack of polygones to open door/search keys... but the last episode was bad

If it is as good as the movie than it's going to be a masterpiece.

Alone in the dark 1 was a classic, no doubts there. Hell, I played it a few months ago and it still kinda freaks me out. It's too bad that some people may judge the game by the movie, but in truth from what I've seen of the movie it has nothing to do with the game except maybe a couple names. Anyone who hasnt played the first 3 games really needs to get a copy of them because they are essential horror/adventure pc games, and even if the graphics do suck they're from an age where gameplay was the master. Alone in the Dark 4 was alright too in it's own respects (I own it for PC and DreamCast) but it hardly pays homage to the first 3. I really anticipate this one though -- the screeshots look fantastic. Cant wait Smile

the alone in the dark series has been dead and buried A LONG time ago. this is just devs making a quick buck using a liscence with some nostalgia attached to it, just like the movie.

if you want anything like the old games, call of cthulhu is where it's at. i am hoping that destiny's end continues the hp lovecraft inspired horror goodness.

On Gamespot it said that it will only take about 30-40 minutes to play it through. This new "episode-syndrome" recently (HL2, SiN, now this) is making me frown. What's the point really? If I want episodes, I watch TV. There I only have to wait a week for the next one, not months like it will be the case with the games. Rolling Eyes

the first alone in the dark was a masterpiece!! next ones wasn't that good.
hell!! i still remember those sitting zombies on the living room, blasted by the shotgun and flying away with the chair.... gooood.

and i remember that graphic was nice by that time... and no lag at all.

lets hope this one is good.

as someone say, im looking to see a good phisic engine, more than next gen (laggish) graphic.

Read the preview again mate...
When you buy AITD5, you'll get the complete adventure. The levels will just be presented as episodes of a TV-series. They're not gonna release the game in multiple episodes like SiN or HL2...

I think different episodes within a game are a great idea. It allowes more freedom to play it and gives you breaks when you need it without having to hit pause Very Happy
