"Jess Cliffe announced today on the Steam forums that the CS: Source BETA began pre-loading today for cyber cafes part of the Valve Cyber Café Program. The first phase of this BETA will be playable at these cafes on Wednesday, the 11th. " (c) CS Nation

Lets say I buy a coupon on ebay for the 30 or so bucks, I can get HL2 download when it comes out, all the old half-life games (Well whatever ones they include) and still play this in beta, am I correct in saying this?
Seems like a win-win situation...

You will be able to play the all the games in the Valve power pack until HL2 gets released. When it's released you'll only be able the play HL2. And about the CS:Source. I think only the beta will be available. You'll have to pay for the final.

Apparantly this guy owned a "Valce Cyber Cafe" license that he got from his friend who owns a Cyber Cafe, and so he can play.

what I found works was from the steam forums
"GO INTO YOUR STEAM SHORTCUT AND UNDER TARGET PUT "C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 260 AND RUN IT AND IT WILL PRELOAD AND YOU WILL HAVE AN ORGASM I THINK YES YOU WILL."
works like a charm!

Can someone tell me what is the requirements for this counter strike source?
Is it a standalone and so on...and can you actually play it "now" if downloaded from steam for example? Is there any offline bot thingys etc...
I dont have any valid keys...i am just interested to test this new engine ...
