Was looking around for a review of this game for some idea of how they could have ruined what was in the form of the previous Monkeyball titles, complete gaming perfection. Found no reviews though.

So please enlighten a fellow Monkeyball fanatic on what exactly has been done to my precious. Crying or Very sad

Being a SMB fan myself I would like to know the same. From these screens it looks fairly decent.

This is a 3D platformer, a very poor one, so it doesn't have much in common with the other awesome monkey ball games.

aaah right, im maybe seeing where part of the problem lies just from viewing the screens. Looks like they've diluted two of the best elements of the original game (its purity and simplicity) by trying to mix it with other genres which I guess is where the "Adventure" part comes in.

Kind of remeniscent of the criticisms that Sonic Adventure on Dreamcast recieved, alot of people enjoyed the platforming but got put off by the walking around looking for levels aspect of the game.

If that is the case then I can see why classic monkeyball fans would be put off. Monkeyballs appeal to me at least lay in the simple gameplay, maps which even though some of them had you pulling out your hair always had that "One More Go, One More Go" addictive element to them, the multiple routes to completion aspect, the puzzles and the timing plus skill with the analogue stick to navigate them whilst a clock is ticking away.

*crys some more* .......my precious Crying or Very sad

edit.....aaah thanks pallebrun, guess i'll just have to wait for the Wii version supposedly thats going to use the new controller as well - shame on them for milking this franchise.

they removed the most of the best mini games in the multiplayer mode, some are still there but the gameplay has been totally changed and it's not fun anymore to play them Crying or Very sad

And the "history mode" seems unplayable to me Sad
