yup after i install and try to start it immediately crashes and i have no idea why =/. i tried looking for a solution but still haven't found any. i'm using FLT's release btw.
my specs are:
P4 3.2
512mb ram
geforce 7800GS.

FLT? As in Fairlight? The group that died back in September 2004? Not to mention that there never was any FLT release for F.E.A.R. 
[EDIT]: Uh, right, there was a FLT release for First Encounter Assault Recon (commonly known as F.E.A.R.)... but there wasn't an FLT release for F.E.A.R., so I wasn't that wrong.

uh i couldn't find a link to direct u to the nfo so i just uploaded it.
mods can delete if such thing isn't allowed even though it's only an nfo.
perhaps there is something about it being fake since i couldn't find the nfo here or qdupe either but it looks real enough so iunno... =/

Try patching and putting PROPER cracks PROPERLY. Try renaming the main fear exe and running again.

Just saw this thread and the emporio release was nuked.
F.E.A.R. *AlcoholClone* DVD by 'nogroup' is the one you want. Its the UK collector's edition with all the goodies or the Deviance version. Its been cracked up to v1.04. Dont think the latest one (v1.05) was cracked yet but it fixed mostly the mplayer so its not needed unless you bought the game. However, you can still play online but with this version I can only access some servers not all. Still, its fun. Dunno about the deviance version but that was a working release as well.

the game crashes immediately when i start up.. no intro or nothing.. just crashes to desktop after 2 secs or something.
u think removing codes would fix those crashes or do u talk about ingame crashes(since i havent even been able to touch the game yet).
in any case thx for trying though but i gave up on the game >_>.

I had a codec pack installed a while ago when I tried to play FEAR and got those crashes, removed the codec pack and game worked like a charm. I think it was the AC3 codec or something that made the crashes...

its the lame mp3 codec this was mentioned back when the FEAR demo first hit that the game has trouble with certain codecs installed removing these will make it work
