try looking for programs that startup when booting windows with msconfig.
Perhaps that will work

Yeah, +1 vote for this method, though I had everything on a 120g hd (back when 120 was big ), and bought a 300 a while ago and moved everything I could onto that, and left windows/apps on the 120, in case of situations like this .
You could d/l a livecd like Bart PE (http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/) and boot off that and try to sort shit out, but I haven't used it myself, only heard about it.
