It's not that bad actually, it's a nice mix between arcade and sim.

You can take off, fly and accomplish a mission without reading the manual, but if you play at harder settings you have to really get in to everything. There are controls for almost everything but you do not have to use them if you want to play at en easier level (ie frequent use of autopilot, which can both land and takoff).

It is by the same developer as Strike Fighters and Wings Over Vietnam. It is not a hard core sim - more of a "sim lite", if you will, meaning that it does not have the complexity of Falcon 4.0 or Lock-On, but at the same time, it is not arcade (somewhere in between) - like USNF Fighters Anthology.
There are already a ton of 3rd party freeware add-ons (planes, terrain, etc) - the stuff done for Strike Fighters and WOV are compatible, I understand.
Definately worth a try. If you like it, buy it as the flight sim market is so small as it is (aside from MS FS2004) and the developers need the support.
Happy flying.

Thanks.
Google sure is everyone's friend and I found http://www.column5.us/aircraft.shtml.
The question was for good links, northern7 seemed to know a lot and therefore should have some.
