I have a job repairing computers, and my semi-crazy boss (from Hong Kong) was throwing out stuff. While doing this there was a box full of..stuff, I was not sure at the time but there was a SNES and a bunch of other pieces of seemingly random hardware. I snagged it before it was tossed and when I brought it home I finally realized what I actually had.
Along with a SNES, a couple of controllers and even a big ass arcade fighter controller I realized that the "other" random hardware was in fact...a mod for the SNES. Similar to the M3 for the NDS, there was 16M DRAM module in a SNES adapter. Which then connects via an RJ11 cable into a bigger box that has an floppy drive in it, there is also an AC connector for the adapter. The box in question runs on batteries, the instructions on the box itself are all in Chinese but after a bit of researching I finally figured out what the hell it was.
It's called the Multi-Game Doctor 2. I found a FAQ for it here and here are some images.
There's no real questions, it's just funny to find something so old. Also really interesting that when it was in it's prime it used to cost $650. At least according to that FAQ.
Yep , had a mate with something like this back in the day. I might be wrong but i think it was called a UFO drive or something. I got a doctor 64 when that came out for the n64
Box has same bottom connection as a snes game and on the side of it there was a floppydrive. On top of it you could put a snes game init for easy copying hehe.
