Sony fuckes up once more !!

" Sony is planning to adopt a licensing system that will mean gamers won't own the PS3 titles that they've paid money for. Instead, they will only be purchasing the licence to play the game and that the software itself will still be Sony property - meaning that the disc won't be the customer's to sell."

Like any customer will care... Sure shops will but I would sure as hell keep selling games when I've gotten really bored with them!

Surely this'll mean that Sony will FedEx you a new disc for free should your old one scratch? No? Rolling Eyes

Four smelly hippies sitting in an office somewhere caring about such silly things as preventing corps from screwing over people don't really have a lot of power/lobby money.

but isn't this license on everything though? Like VHS tapes were made illegal to record your TV..... but everyone did it for convenience reasons rather than to rip the makers off i.e. set the video to record corrie and go out.

If sony adopt this licensing though, and try to enforce it they need to make a compromise such as, buying back the license at the initial value. Of course this will never happen and neither will the plan so lets move along people.

If sony would drop its price on games by 10-20 bucks it would be fine. They should use 2k's pricing scheme nfl2k was 20 bucks at release and it sold big enough numbers that it made EA buy the NFL's license Very Happy

Aren't actual Xboxes licenced? There seems to be a healthy secondhand market for them, on Ebay and off.
