Quote:
I remember when the first DX11 games were rolling out, like Aliens vs. Predators and things like tessellation were being put in those, and that feature when properly used has a great impact on gameplay immersion.

AvP.. and properly used DX11.. incompatible.

Quote:
Here we are almost two years later, and new DX11 games have abandoned these advanced DX11 features.

You need to play more DX11 games. Max Payne 3, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Sniper Elite V2 and more have those effects you want.

Quote:
Overall, I'm more impressed with the over-one-year-old Battlefield 3’s graphics. Call of Duty: Black Ops II looks much better than Medal of Honor: Warfighter, but it still doesn't quite look as good as BF3 which came out one year ago.

Laughing Laughing Laughing

Reaction Reaction Reaction

Mind Is Full Of Fuck

Quote:
Is this because of consolitis? Whatever the reason, these anticipated, and supposedly popular games this fall of 2012 are not pushing graphics, and not pushing PC graphics hardware. There's been a drop off in the quality of graphics, no innovation is being made.

I assure you it has nothing to do with me. Devil Troll

I would even understand if they mentioned the level design (Blops2's was mediocre but MOHW's was below abysmal), but in terms of mere technology involved/dx11 effects? You've got to be kidding me. Very Happy

Well blops2 looks good. Kinda plasticy but decent.

Still. Some medal of honor screenshots look almost photo like

The writer, Grady McKinney, is spot on imo. The editor however, with his addendum, fucks it up.

HardOCP has gone to complete shit. It started maybe 2-3 years ago.

I do appreciate the way they review as it provides metrics more firmly based in reality. That being said, they stick way to much personal subjective opinion into their articles now.

A perfect example of this is their latest review of that 1.5kw EVGA power supply. While that power supply isn't worth the money EVGA is asking; HardOCP goes way overboard in how they judge it. It's not judged fairly at all in fact. There is a difference in pointing out the negatives, and just plain nitpicking.

IGN swallowed them all up, chewed them into clones and then closed them one by one... Oh how I miss VoodooExtreme aka VE3D before IGN took over.

I can make some screenshots from MP, not sure if it's worth, knowing how nfonazis will react.

OK, i'll do it.

It might be personal, but I agree that BO2 looks better than Warfighter, not 'much' as stated, but it looks a little bit better overall.

I can't be bothered to read the article since I just don't care about such discussions, but I agree with the fact that BO2 looks better than Derpfighter.
