Sounds interesting, guess I'll have a go at it

it's FP but not S[horror, adventure] ,physics stuff is pretty cool,u get to interact with all kinda objects, switches & stuff, gfx are good too, atmospheric is pretty freaky sceared me ones, all in all for guys without any kinda budget they did pretty good job[now imagine if they had some real cash],btw perfomance is good too no slowdowns for me,some blur efx,has something from Deus Ex in it,so i suggest to try it 200mb won't hurt anyone
to change resolution go to Penumbra\redist open settings.cfg with notepad & change it manualy if 1024 is not enough

if they would added weapons the would kill the climate like in Cathulu but you can still throw things and block doors or make traps with use of the physics

It is very good. Graphics, physics, sounds and the haunting music are great for a freeware. Puzzles are logic and most of them requires interaction with objecst in the world. You should all try this and help the developers in their forum in anyway you can. They deserve the attention.

This is my association with penumbra

and now it SIMPLE ENGLISH
and now form Wikipedia
Quote: | The penumbra is that part of the shadow where the light source is only partially blocked. Part of the light passes through the edges of the object causing a partial shadow. The penumbra (Latin for almost-shadow) is the portion of a shadow that results from the source of illumination being only partially blocked. Penumbras occur only when the source of light is not a point-source. As the sun is a visible disc, solar shadows have penumbras. The penumbra part of a shadow is contrasted with the umbra part of the shadow in which the light source is completely blocked.
The part of the penumbra where an annular eclipse is visible is called the antumbra.
Also, the penumbra is the lighter, fuzzier outer edge of a shadow. The shadow is darkest at the umbra, near the object, and weakest at the penumbra, at the edge. |
NOW that what i call go totaly OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFfff topic

now that's a rather ironic title concidering the engine only supports hard shadows, effectively eliminating any possibility of a penumbra anywhere in the game

What an interesting game. I've not had a chance to finish it as of yet but a great feeling so far from the opening room (potential wise anyhow).
