i dunno i like how they are doing more space battles and the last sg1 ep with ori coming through the gate was pretty awesome and its coming upto the 200th episode which is aparently going to be something special

the SG space fiddling is lame
i liked in the early episodes how it was very down to earth
like we barely had resources to reach our orbit
it was so much more "real"
like in the end of the first season (or was it second?) with the goauld ship on earth orbit, we really were fucked
best humanity had were nuclear missiles and they could be shot down like ducks
but then they came up with the damn ships
and suddenly everyone in the galaxy is our bitch
now it's like an awkward standard scifishow
it's not the same if they put even meaner baddies against them.. it's just bad writing
it's like playing a level-based rpg like oblivion where once you level, your old rivals suddenly disappear and new ones appear by magic in the gameworld
there are a few good episodes every now and then, but it can never reach the same level it was again

Well thats called development. It's so logical that if they discover new technology, build new ships etc then Earth is going to get stronger in any way. If they would still be worrying about some simple Gould motherships then it just wouldnt be so interesting to watch that show anymore.

yea its not like they dont get owned still , a little disapointing when they lose a ship and replace it so fast though lets hope thats something that doesnt repeat itself to often.
oh and sg1 still has gimpy weapons on there ships unlike most the other races so its not like they are almost invincible

Well for me Atlantis is just a good scifi show, with some ties to SG1. Hope to see some more crossover episodes between those two shows. Wouldn't it be cool, if the Wraith would show up on our galaxy, or the Ori in the Pegasus.

Both premiers were good. Sg1-s was a nice aftermath episode, Vala was funny as always. SGA-s premiere had nice space-battles, sad that another ship was destroyed. Waiting for the next episodes.
At last we have a crossover episode, which is SG1 10x03, called The Pegasus Project.

What the hell is going on with the wraith!? When they were first introduced one of their defining characteristics was their regenerative abilities, you could empty a full clip into them and it would just stun them, after about 10 seconds they would get back up.
In the latest atlantis episode (S3E4) loads of wrath are killed by just a few shots, sometimes even by one shot, and another is even owned in hand to hand by that big ponce Ronin. They've become almost as weak as humans. EXCEPT in the end ronin goes all out on that green wraith commander and he gets thrown about like a child.
Is there something they told us in one episode which I missed, like as wraith get older they turn green and become far more powerful? Have they developed special 'anti-wraith' bullets or some shit?

Varius guns fires varius ammo, in the start it was us who filled them with clip after clip. Ronins people have fought them long time so dont think they made some more dangerous bullets like explosive tips etc?
In the hand to hand fight he had a big knife and cut him up several times before he fell and nothing shows that he even died from that.
But their strenght i thought was strange to, all wraith have been alot stronger then humans, maybe ronin is on steroids?

that doesnt explain why the ones killed with machine guns died so easy.
maybe if they dont feed for along time they are meant to get weak? but they would have fed on that planet they wiped out a few hours earlyer.
only the siege eps of atlantis have been really great imo as a whole i find atlantis rather disapointing, sg1 is far better even in the crappy episodes

I fell the same way, SG1 is far more enjoyable for me, although Atlantis is still ok.
So I take it the green Wraith are the older ones, and hence much stronger?
