Yeah i too was pissed off they updated the protection as my mounted image would no longer work, but there is a way round. There is a mini image floating about that works with the v1.1 patch. I've tested it myself, the mini image however does not work with v1.0 (no i don't understand why either) but it does work with v1.1 patch.
i had the reloaded version of the game
with the image mounted and crack applyed
i just downloaded the patch from the site and installed it
and it worked fine.. i didnt have to use a new crack or anything
i just ran the game like before after the patch install

lol if you used the old crack you just wasted your time. the old crack isnt 1.1 so you get none of the fixes that are in 1.1 now you have to uninstall and reinstall because you most likely fucked shit up by copying an old exe over a newer version. good job
