I have some cbr files that i wanted to convert to jpeg's.Tried a few shareware programs but none of them were able to help.The Cbr's i wanted to convert are from a comic book.

Looking at my question now i see that i should have given more info.I don't have a problem looking at the files on the pc i did find a viewer for cbr files. The problem i'm having is converting them to jpeg's .The reason that i want to convert Cbr's to jpeg is that i have a portable device that is able to view jpeg files but not Cbr or Bmp files.I've used Winrar for a while (started using it when winzip decided i needed another icon on my taskbar). I'm not sure if you meant that they could be converted back to their original format with Winrar?Thanks for the help again [sYn]

read my post again.. CBR files ARE rar files.. use winrar to extract them the jpgs are inside..

yup
and CBZ are zip files
you can tell by the last letter (duh)
the comic book viewer is quite brilliant for it's purpose

Thx again i extracted the files back to jpg's with no problem.(Duh) cant believe i overlooked the most obvious solution.The cbr viewer is pretty cool i just hope it didnt put anything stupid in my registry.Some of these shareware programs are real dirty.Even when you try to go through a reliable source.
