Call of Duty 3 is supposed to top the WWII genre by bringing you closer to the war as you battle enemies from the Normandy Breakout. You take turns by playing through four various soldiers from different nations.
Iremonger emphasizes his obvious enthusiam for the Wii by saying, "So, how does that lead into what we can do with the Wii? The Wii is perfect for this. The Wii actually allows us to bring the physical approach, but now you’ve going to interact physically. Just imagine now that gun’s in your hands, as a player, not just on the screen. It’s in your hands, and you’ve got that controller, and now you’re shaking that controller. Maybe you’re rowing a boat across the river; now you’re actually rowing the controller. So these are some of the things that are just really going make you feel like you’re in that world."
Call of Duty 3 is set to hit all three next-gen consoles, including PC. The PC and the 360 versions of the game is set to be in store shelves in November, with the PS3 version on November 17th. As for the Wii, we know it's going to be in 2007, but nothing more specific has been announced. |

He says the Wii version is the most developed right now, except it's the one due out last. Is he on crack!?

That's 'cause wii has it's limits. The engine is developed. I guess no lag spikes or anything of that sort... but the gameplay is still in the works. They want you do be able to do everything possible with the wiimote. Like for PC/PS3/X360 it will be just a generic fps set in the ww2 genre. Theatrics and all that jazz... but for the wii it will be more of an adventure game in first person.
It's doesn't take long to record voice overs and create base maps for the game.PS3/X360/PC will use the same engine Wii is just Different

Yeah Wii is shit, thats what's different. I don't want to be looking like a twat in my lounge rowing a virtual boat, I want to be shooting germans!

I just hope they wont make you act like a jerk when you're fighting people. Shake the controller to win
or headbut people... wtf? Hahahaha
Tossing grenades will be whack too...
The game has potential... I just don't want to have do certain gestures to do certain things... I was hoping along minigames for certain things. Planting a bomb... or what not. Get creative.
Imagine wario ware w/ cod 3.
While planting a bomb... scrubb of all the germs on her teeth in the alloted time. Or balance the remote.
It sounds stupid... but i would be fun in my opinion. How many tanks do you have to blow up?
Or when you have to unlock doors or something. Another mini game.
COD3 will be a fun game... but the whole ww2 genre is too fucking serious.
