Hello.
I'm in the process of purchasing a new laptop.
It will mostly be used for photo-editing and movies, but I can imagine that there will be some gaming as well.

I've been given an offer which I can afford, and it has this card:
256MB ATI® MOBILITY™ RADEON® X1400
and it's got this screen
15.4" Ultra Sharp™ WSXGA TFT (1680x1050) TrueLife™- widescreen

Will this card be sufficient, or should I rob a bank (my account..) and go for another?
I don't want to ruin myself just for the graphics.. I don't care THAT much.

thanks in advance

looks like it will probably do the trick for most games ...

look here:

they consider this card to be the top end of mid-priced cards, so it's probably what you want if you don't want to spend too much $$$$
