Movie ain't THAT bad. Mostly anime fan boys will love it. It has it's moments  Nice CG action sequences. Story is meh. Enjoyable flick. Not a master piece, but enjoyable 
I seen a subtitled version when the movie came out.
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year, running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here.

I considered buying it when I saw it in the shop the other day, until I realised I had run out of money.. So I figured I would download it instead, which is proving to be harder than I thought. Boo! I'll amuse myself with this "Cache" film someone said was good..

Yeah, unless you've seen the anime (which i didnt) you'll be very confused, like i was. I just watched it for the action scenes.

I never heard of the anime before, i just saw the preview on ign.com and it looked nice so i downloaded it. Didnt know it was based on the anime.

Mm.. im going to guess there isn't one, but the style is very much like an anime. Ill watch it tomorrow hopefully!

i thought it was an excellent film... yeah liking anime helps especially when it comes to understanding and appreciating the style... it truely is a live action anime in every regard... definately worth seeing i think.
english dub is going to ruin it though, you watch

liveaction anime
like matrix was, but even more so
it looked pretty in a few spots, but story and direction are quite arsed
shot pretty much completely on greenscreen and is very CG heavy, being very cold in mood as a result
3/10
i'm a fan of anime when it can be taken seriously and is entertaining
this was just the boring sort

^not if you like japanese films... if you like japanese films theres plenty of great films to watch
if you like over the top gore films, like americans seem to love these days, then go see it
or if you want a mind fuck, see another one of miikes flicks, izo... i STILL dont get what the fuck that film was about... but hey, if you like gore films, see it
the matrix was in no way live action anime... it had nothing like an anime style. it was a live action computer game, sure, but the styling was nothing like anime.
and while the story definately required you understood the story to begin with (and as such, i didn't fully understand the background and what happened at times), i think the direction was definately very well done, given that filming a completely digital film (with the exception of the characters) is surely difficult, and this was one of the first to do it, along with sky captain...
id say an easy 6 out of 10... you could do a lot worse when picking a movie to watch. unique style, plenty of action, reasonably well acted, and very well made.
