first of all, next time host your image at imageshack.us instead of putting it in an rtf and then into a zip...
take that ID1511flatou2.mds file in the image and rename it to Flatout2.mds (rename the original mds or just delete it) and then mount the mds in daemon tools 4.03 w/driver 1.25. it works, ive got it working

you know you can edit your previous posts instead of posting over and over
1. you dont need anything special, no protection emulation or anything, just a basic mdf/mds
2. no emulation in daemon once you mount with the special mds file from copybase (like i said above)
3. english, latest beta 2 of vista

You burnt it with Blindwrite first though correct?
if so what option did you burn it with automatic Normal or ISO ?
and when you if you converted it with Alcohol-120 did you have to do any special reading options.
thanks buddy

i used ultra iso pro converted it to mds, mdf, i renamed the mds file i got from copybase to
match the mds,mdf i created then installed everything and great it checked for a few seconds and loaded the otions and great game for sure...good luck all

omfg how can i explain it more clearly. read this and if you cant figure it out, then you arent worthy to be doing any of this because you are just plain ignorant.
HERE IS THE GUIDE TO GETTING THE GAME TO RUN (ON VISTA):
steps 1-4 are in WINXP
1. download the DJ Eclipse iso release from isohunt.com, or the "sfclone-reloaded" one from mininova.org (they are the same thing). edit: (also note its not actually a reloaded release, just labeled as that, hence why i said they are the same thing)
1b. alternatively, download the sfclone-unleashed version
2. mount the game using Daemon tools. if you have the UNLEASHED release, you must go here: http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/t12166-p2-support-vso-blindwrite-6-updated-plugin-testing-here.html and download the blindwrite 6 plugin for daemon tools otherwise you wont be able to mount the blindwrite image. i cannot verify this because i havent tried it (plugin download wasnt working when i was trying to get the game running)
3. open up alcohol 120% -> image making wizard. select the drive with the mounted image (from daemon tools). do not change any other options. click next. select where you want the images saved. do not change any other options. click next. start the image making. wait for it to finish.
4. download the mds file from copybase.cc -- refer to other posts or whatever to find it if you cant. you want the one with ID1511 (not ID1514 i believe)
5. install vista (or if its already installed, load it up). i used english x86 (32 bit) build 5384
--REST OF STEPS ARE IN WINDOWS VISTA--
6. download and install your appropriate video and sound drivers for your computer. for nvidia check www.nvidia.com -- for ac97 audio check www.realtek.com.tw -- etc
7. download and install daemon tools latest with driver version 1.25 (same as winxp)
8. go find the mds/mdf you made with alcohol earlier. delete the original flatout2.mds and rename the ID1511flatout_2.mds you downloaded to Flatout2.mds
9. mount the new Flatout2.mds with daemon 4.03
10. run the game!
i think i made all that perfectly clear

rofl RELOADED RELEASE? hahha stop telling people to get fake releases since reloaded didnt do this game. just some lamer on a torrent site putting reloaded's name on shit. fucking torrent lamers. so please dont muster up the nerve to call some one else ignorant if youre telling ppl to get a bullshit homemade release.
and the plugin you need for DT is here

i was calling it that because thats what its labeled as, like you stated. my aim with this guide is to help the people that didnt already get the picture through the rest of my/our/your/the posts, so why not just make it simple and tell them what to look for and then what to do with it, since many ppl cant figure it out.
also notice how i said "they are the same thing". please dont flame me. i know what im doing
btw you cant get that attachment if you arent a member of clubcdfreaks. the link i posted is public and actually from the daemon tools support forum

Actually, it IS possible, but you'll need 2 PC's for it. You need to setup iSCSI so that a virtual drive (DT or Alcohol, doesn't matter) is shared, then play on the other PC using this shared drive.
If your image has good DPM (which means NOT the BW6 image) then the game will run.
All needed info to setup iSCSI can be found in Alcohol's Help file.

how is installing alcohol and sharing a drive "way too extreme"? makes sense to me. and its easier than installing another OS (a beta one at that) just to get less performance.
thanks for the tip Reefke, im gonna go try that now
