so they finaly made a move hmm StarForce 4.0.07.03 , heard that you cannot remove the drivers with sfclean now

You can download updated sfdrvrem tool now so yes you can remove the drivers if you have any in your system

CDV drops starforce
After Ubisoft now also to the German editor has decided to CDV the controversial StarForce to copy protection let fall. In place of it as from present Tages-copy protection it is used. One hopes have found the correct assessment between protecting intellectual property and minimising restricties for the legitimate users. The first game of CDV which will be shipped without StarForce, is arriving tycoon-game the Glory or the novel empire.

Frogster Interactive
Buka Ent. (in some countries CDV did BUKA)
Cenega
Techland (in some countries its part of Koch Media)
Codemasters
Deep Silver (in EU its part of Koch Media)
Anaconda/Funcom (in US they use Secu)
Ascaron (in some EU countries Ascaron is done by Ubi Soft)
Namco
Midway
So great games like: Rush for Berlin, Gothic 3, City Life, Adrenalin, CMR 2006, Sensible Soccer 2006, Rise and Fall, Pac Man World 3, Micro Machines 4, B.o.S. Addon ... will be Star Force Frontline 4.0+. The 4.0 drivers are already used in some 3.7 versions tho.
Btw.: The updated features are:
* Optimized VM
* Addional CRC Trigger features
* More complex sffs crypt routine
* new sffs implemantation stuff
* optimized and simplified SDK
* Optimized 64 Bit features
* driver install and remove is automatic done
* Key Algorithm optimized and better implemented

Jowood uses TAGES , Safedisk and Securom - only spellforce 2 used Starforce but after the mini image error now they use Tages with Xprot and lookie here they Panzer Elite is not cracked
Codemasters said too that they will drop Starforce becoz they made 4 re-editions of they games like Colin 5 , Soldiers , Worms mayhen and one other with out StarForce but with securom 7 in Poland
