|
 |
Hi,
My xbox360 is pissing me off the last few days. I have the 3.2 firmware that worked fine for 7 games so far but when i started playing 'Need for Speed Carbon' a screen told me to update my console. I had this with 'Burnout revenge' and it worked fine after the update but with 'NFS' its a different story.
After the update it worked ok also but when i quit after 15mins with any game and i want to insert a new one it gives me an open tray error. When i let the xbox360 cool down for about 15mins it starts op just fine.
My brother also has a xbox360 with the same firmware and it does exactly the same thing after the 'NFS' update.
I have been thinking about buying a 'Nyko intercooler' and hoping it would fix my problem.
Is there anything else i can try out besides that and the rubber band trick?
Regards.

I know. I couldn't be bothered to trawl through all that.
Plus I'm watching Casino Royal.

I had this problem today. Collected a screw driver, a safety pin, a small ring of styrofoam, the vid and some assorted diagrams and wham bam its working again. Excellent little fix thats simple to do and works perfectly. Infact the hardest part of the whole process is trying to open the feckin case. I swear to Jesus Satan himself devised those finicky clips.
Great post.

Nah it's not for me. It's for other members that may need it.
