JOYSTICKS
Battlefield 2 does not support using a joystick connected to
your computer via a joystick port built-in to your sound card.
We recommend you use a joystick that connects to your computer
via a USB port.

What a load of crap. I nearly binned my Precision pro joystick. I've read all over the net that it doesn't work in XP. Well after a bit of messing about not only does it work in XP. but moreso it works in BF2 with it plugged into an old Soundblaster Value card. Which incidently isn't supported by XP either.

So nearly bought a Saitek X52 too.

I bought a Saitek X52. Its sitting here gathering dust. Total overkill and unnecessary for BF2.
I'll bet any amount of money that I can outfly anyone using a stick with just my mouse and keyboard

That said, anyone wanna buy this X52? Used it for maybe, 2 hours

I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.
