No but seriously, how different does it look if you compare it to the TV-series? I never seen a single episode of it but I hear some shit about it, I always thought it was kiddie stuff like The A-Team?? Confused

The A-Team was crap, but Miami Vice was and still is a very unique show. You had these two vice cops who drove fast sports cars, Crockett was living on a boat, he had a speedboat, the fancy clothes, the babes in the bikinis and how the show was produced and directed, all the fast paced action and cuts. It is really great. It was the most talked about show at school at that time Wink

The trailer of the movie has nothing in common with the show, except that it plays in Miami, the only thing wich comes close are those shots of the speedboates, but that's about it. It looks like some generic gangsta rap crap movie.

@Syco, nouse: Aren't you in your late twenties?... then you should have watched the show too Wink

I barely remember watching it ... it was on TV from 1984 - 1989, so I was 5-10 years old Wink

I'm confident Mann will do a good job Very Happy

Micheal Mann was the one who directed the original Miami Vice episodes I heard, so it's not likely he would do a worst job with this movie, but personally I have nothing with the serie, remember watching an episode quite recently, it didn't stick.

I agree with WhoKnows about the TV seriels being a very unique show. Don’t forget the crockadile on Crocketts boat. I grew up watching the show. It wasn’t like A-team at all. A-team was on at 8pm and more for kids. I think Vice was on at 10 on Fridays? I was 11-16 year old. I saw every one.

From watching the trailer it doesn’t look like the movie is going to keep the Miami Vice pastel color theme that the show was famous for. All the guys at school were wearing pink shirts with the colors flipped up

I won’t be seeing this in the theatre, its out tommorrow I guess
I really don’t care for Colin Ferrel.

No it won't, thank fucking christ! Razz

This is set in modern day, not in that shit decade known as the '80s Wink

ELVIS!! Very Happy I forgot his name.

@Nouse
I think it would be great if the movie was all in pastels like the old school vice style. I would just die watching it. Watch that whole style make a come back.
