|
 |
Anyone up to it? If I have 11 bucks by the 10th, I might give it a whirl.
Haven't heard nothing about it. Tried searching here and didn't come up with anything, but we all know search is a bit weird.
http://www.killingfloorthegame.com/
Hopefully it'll have non linear maps.

Didn't know they were making it a real game. Played the UT2k4 mod quite a bit, it's great.

Because they're all linear and get boring quick.

$11? Steam says 15$ for me...
Played Killing floor a bit but the community was pretty much dead when i tried it (sometime last year). Non linear maps with L4D style co-op sounds great though. Any idea how many maps are going to be included?

They say 5, but the developers are currently working on new maps and content as well. According to a dev post on their forum anyway.

I know what he means, heh, I've just woke up and I'm cranky without my coffee. Besides, we've been over this; they DO set the prices, just not on all the games.
It was Valve's decision to charge in "equivalent" currency and that has resulted in Europeans paying anywhere from 20-45% MORE for the games. How anyone can defend that is beyond me.

yeah have ut2k4 installed play it daily when aloud for short amounts of time for some fun.. Waiting is no option, i wouldnt pay 24 quid for it for sure.. there is only one day left before the price goes up so you know unless u can gimme a proper review right before then and allow for pre load im screwed unless i take the plunge
edit: im guessing killingflloor is no longer updated and worked on etc as a mod hehe, if it was im not sure I could see the sense in steaming it.. I have no idea btw about the mod all i know is it was about 2 years ago..

So this is basically L4D mixed with Counterstrike?
Let me see if I understand this correctly:
1. Your squad of military commando's are para dropped in a hostile environment with nothing but a pistol and a few clips of ammo. I would understand if you had been there a few weeks and were low on supplies - but to be dropped out of a helicopter unequipped..........
2A. Zombies/Infected magically retained their wallets throughout the transformation
OR
2B Your worth to the local populace is determined solely by number of infected you kill - despite the fact that without your team the entire town would be massacred.
Ergo - the local arms dealer charges your team, government sanctioned troops, for the equipment needed to fight off the infected. Nevermind the fact that the dumb bitch would be dead if your team were not around to stop them.
3. You run faster with your knife out - because no, your gun isn't holstered to your hip anymore, you simply threw it away.
The point I'm trying to drive home here is the over-reliance on the absolutely fucking pointless Counterstrike gimmicks used here. Yea yea, game-play over realism sure - but jesus h. christ that's a little too much disbelief to suspend
Ah well, at least they took out the shitty CS crosshair and forced iron sights.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.
