I got AVIA special edition today from P2P, but turns out its test patterns are for NTSC only and i am from EUROPE where PAL is main standard and its kind of based for 4:3 CRT's not modern HD LCD's, though its still pretty informative.

Looking forward to see release of Digital Video Essentials (any edition, but HD DVD preferred) for PAL standard.

Doh i have no idea how to say if this standard or hd-dvd version, resolution seems to be 720x480 24FPS seems to be hd version right?

Though they also say on dvd itself they downsized this dvd this way

(hope heres no problem if i link this screenshot?)
and what they mean by 480p and 576p vertical or horizontal resolution?

Or they probably created one HD version later from original source but never updated content that?

P.S. i am not really aware of HDTV and resolutions so can someone clear this out for me?

Hes's question, how i use color calibration, thehes some RED GREEN BLUE transparent plastic stuff that comes with both DVE and AVIA that is placed over screen so you can actually set tone of color on screen with tone of this plastic sheet, where i get something like this, at least how its called?

I downloaded DVE.iso 6.85 GB (7,364,874,240 bytes) is this same you got?
I checked resolution it seems to be 720x480, for each file so its NTSC, so you sure one you got is 720x576 PAL?
