Some people have a valid dislike for them because it brings cracked games to the masses who don't care about the scene and only care about the free games. It also gets the anti-Piracy agencies more on the groups' backs.
Most however dislike them because they want to fit in and think it's awesomely l33t to dislike 'teh t00reent noobz' and tell everybody about it.
I think that's about the gist of it.

well isnt the groups who originally bring the cracked games to the masses? they could make it possiple to keep everything in closed group. this has been discussed earlier on scene section, but the outcome was the same. You cant blame the masses for bringing anti-piracy agencies to the groups backs. it is themselves.
the most funniest thing is, that when you say that they only care about the free games, and not about the scene. this statement oviously says that the groups supports the scene. i wouldnt say this is a fact. i mean, yea its true that groups releases their stuff and thisway keeps the scene 'alive', but what i have seen in the nfos, they write personal information of members of the scene, they sell pirated stuff, they blackmail other members of some groups and so on... i mean, it almost looks like the groups would really want others to get busted. i know jokes and how to lil piss off someone, but we are talking about getting in jail here. so it makes the scene very inmature and childiss.

You're probably right. I don't know anything, I don't even download games myself - I'm just here for the rather bizarre but fun community.
