Costs 4 EUR in Poland Smile value for money - of course bugs, of course last century graphics, but the game is not bad - for fans of Jagged Alliance of course. Others may pass.

well, it might not be such a bad game, even if it's not TBS anymore. the graphics doesen't matter too much, only the gameplay has to be fun. But it was released in Russia a LOONG time ago, and i thought i'll never see an english version.

Strange how the guns look amazingly accurate with great artwork. Then get a blindman to do the players models.

hehe, ofc, these kind of games are all about weapons, tons and tons of them, with even more tons of different ammunitions. And combined with tactics as the cherry, it makes for some sweet gaming. But i don't want to speak too soon, i didn't try it yet...

Well, yes. But I don't see a point in downloading a 6$ game, which was available in my country before the internet release.
The game is not bad (buggy, unfortunately) but it's a niche product.

Gameplay system is actually pretty good. Better then JA2. Fine example how to do realtime w/pause. Too bad the rest of the content is kinda bad.

the game is nice, you have some overwhelming tactical choices, dunno if all of them will be used though.

The first mission is tough as nails, still trying to do it without wounding my main char( i play on hard cause that's how i played JA2).

The graphics are not that nice, but they serve their purpose(and i guess that means more people can play it, cause it doesen't need such a high end hardware). There are elevations, true line of sight, line of fire, a very good selection of weapons, with different options as attachments, different points of impact on bodies(legs, torso, head...), suppresion fire, and all the goodies expected from a tactical game.

Now, from what i see the AI is either dumb or clever, sometimes it flanks you, pinns you down while a colegue of his tries to drop in behind you, other times they rush at the only door in the building and gets masssacred by my guys.

All in all, i like the game, although the constant pausing(practically it pauses for every single action in the game, think of UFO aftershock, but you can modify for wich events to pause) and pop up messages will confuse someone who is in the middle of the firefight.

Pluses:
+nice selection of weapons and attachments
+A.I.
+Tactical options
+JA2 kind of gameplay(you have sleep, repair weapons, and so on, even the questions at the start of the game when you create your merc are in there, those who played JA2 know what i mean.)
+it runs ok on slower riggs

Minuses:
-Graphics(it doesen't bother me, but for someone who is looking for some nice eye candy it might look damn ugly)
-A.I.(yeah, i know, i put it on both sides, because in my oppinion it has a DrJeckyl/MrHyde personality)
-constant pausing and messages cluttering the screen(they can be configured though)
-it's not an adventure game, so the story is next to zero
-the starting difficulty is too high IMO
