I'm glad K-9 won the first fight although I didn't want any of them to go really. That other guy on the blue team who wanted fight (chris?) instead should have gone and got whooped. The 2nd ep was alright too but some of those fighters shouldn't be there. I've not seen one of the stats of the fighters which says they're undefeated which sucks arse. One of the fools even has about 5 losses from 15 fights.
They shoulda put some real rocky style fighters in there. like 2-0 fighting 33-3 fighters would have been good. I think that the new system is a bit better with the knockout board thing but I dont like the system of winning the fight chooses the next fight. I much preferred the older method of doing a team work task.

btw where's Stallone? |
filming rocky balboa probably. There's no need for him really they have mora and the rest of season 1 people. I'd love to go on the contender UK, but these are all middleweights

I really hate the new format. It's just boring to watch and if I was watching it on TV I probably wouldn't watch it because I can't fast forward it. Quite a lot of it is annoying american style too. 'If I lose this fight i'll go back to the ghetto, this is my way out for my girl' etc. I know several boxers who's life isn't like that at all (in england) and you don't need to be hard done by to be a good boxer. or grow up fighting for survival in schools etc.
Still i'm glad Aaron got beat.

Well to be fair they didn't potray that. The other guy Aaron said he has the dream life. Rich parents, rich life, nice wife, kids etc. Just saying that to him, himself he had no life and boxing was his life. I thought that was fair to be honest, a lot more accurate than all this 'I fight to put bread on the table, even though I'm already 23-2 and have made more money than most will in their life".
It annoys me that they go on about their families too much, and yes I foward that shit too. The only honest guy I thought was Aaron.
The house also sucks and I dont like that there's no contests. And since it's airing on ESPN I'm surprised they haven't done it so that you can watch the actual fight like a re-live so not crappy highlights but the entire fight.
Sublime, you a boxer then?

Soz for the late reply not been on much (as you can tell) anyway I box yea. I've started going again too. Buidling up my fitness again plus it's actually a lot of fun. Have a laugh with the guys there plus it's good to know I can call upon my fists if I need to (being in england and around a lot of twats it's gonna happen sooner or later).
Since I only go 'training' and don't have any 'proper' (by that I mean official) fights I don't have a record although I do have fights (without protection, just gloves + wraps + gumshield) in the ring in the gym where we train. I've not lost yet and although they're kinda sparring sessions they are pretty intense with the whole gym stopping to watch on occasion. Not lost one yet and i'm one of the smallest guys there (obviously I don't fight the huge fully gornw men) but I punch above my weight pretty well
That Aaron was humble-ish but I still think they go on about the porjects, the hood etc. far too much. They act as though it's impossible to leave a residence, when in actual fact it's only their emoptional ties to their family (don't wanna leave em behind) etc. that's keeping them there.
Yes that other guy he fought was rich (like joey [i think it was him] in the last series) but he's the kinda guy who is more representative of the boxing life. He works a regular job and saves well, instead of living in a ghetto doing crappy jobs. He's making the best of the situation and i'm starting to like K9 a lot more now. I thought he was pretty kind to the guy who got beat last week and reading the bible was a nice thing. I don't believe in the bible or anything, but him putting himself out for the other guy was a nice gesture never the less.
wow long post good job if you read all of it!
