Has anyone ever made a web front end with an access backend? How easy is it to use PHP/ASP with an access backend? Is it worthwhile or will it run like an arse?

Plus, how much does IIS suck?

(I stick to FREE software, generally open source, so I have no hands on experience with IIS..access I have used, I hate it, but thats what the client wants .. including an access client front end, BUT I WILL PREVAIL!!!)

Right I managed to persuade them to let me use IIS with SQL Server.. and the application will be done in ASP.NET..

Question is, how much data can you store in a 4Gb database? I would really love to use M$ SQL Express as its free but the 4gb might be too little Sad!

Thoughts?
