It looks nice, i wont argue.
But im not trying to put this game down in anyway, but doesn't it look alittle blocky in some places?
Are these things easily fixed or is that how the engine is? :/
AMD64 3800+, Leadtek 6800 Ultra, 1GB Kingston HyperX RAM, SB Audigy 2Zs.

We will just have to wait and see! they will probably tweak the graphics before the release.
Gameplay might be better than d3 though!

I think like everybody.
Of course, F.E.A.R. looks nice, a very promising game. But you know what ? this engine is owned by unreal 3 engine. Wich is owned by 3DS max renders. Wich is owned by some hypothetical game and his engine 15 years in the future.
Got my point ? Saying that this games and engine "own Doom 3" is a good old troll. It doesn't own Doom 3 because it's not released, and won't be before 1 year in best case (I bet on 2/3 years). And every game and engine will get owned eventually ... that's just a stupid way of putting it.
Beside, it's to early to judge the Doom3 engine. It will be tweaked, and it will do nicer things when computers will grow more powerfull, and the engine will be used to full capacities. Who knows ? Maybe by the time this game is released, game using the D3 engine will look just as good ? Or maybe the Cry engine from Far cry ?
And now, I'm just realising ... you are a flame warrior aren't you ? The point of this post has never been to talk about Fear. You just wanted to start a nice trolling, and see how much answer you could generate.

And this owns doom3 how? Obviously comming from some1 who hasn't played this game at 1600 to the max. Doom3's monster models are way more detailed than these. Also the textures for the walls n shit look to be a bit lower qual than that of doom3. Are people so easily impressed by lotsa blood and shading, and the way they just throw in a lot of shinyness to most of the world? Dont get me wrong those shots do look very nice, but making such statements are.. eh. Ill wait for reviews of the gameplay tho thx.

i played doom 3 on my x800 XT maxed out, and it just didnt do it for me, i thought the models looked better than the environments...but that said i think with the right game, something that uses multiple environments the engine has potential. But i have to be honest and ssay from watching the first 13 mins of gameplay video of F.E.A.R personally i think the game is much more intruguing than doom3. The first hour of doom3 was awesome but for me it got old quick. U cant escape its repetitiveness. In the first hour save for a few other moments in the game you have pretty much seen all there is to see. But i think ID have written a solid engine thats gonna produce some top notch games

STALKER has a great engine Q4 has a great engine the sims 52 has a greta engine. all ni the future useless shit. this just looks like a gorefest tbh, doom 3 does look better especially when u play it in the dark and u shine the light on some1 for the first timem, damn thats good,

If the games were released at the same time then it would be fair to compare but since there not it isn't, thats like comparing d3 or hl2 to the unreal 3 engine
