I'm playing through the first one now, after trying out the demo for the sequel. It was never released in North America apparently. Excellent space sim/RPG. I wasn't able to find much about the sequel. Only thing I could find is the demo itself. Release date all says 2006 but very little info other then that.

Same engine, but it'll be freeform. That would make a sweet game. Russian version must be out already, because there is a patch kicking around for it. Anyone else hear anything else about this baby? Homeworld with a freeform engine, it don't get much better then that. Smile

Star Wolves 2 will be much better then its first part all because you will be true mercenery. The univers is open now, you can fly everywhere you want and in each system you have all sort of missions.

The worst part in it is that grafic wasn`t improved it is the same but after all I liked the game how it was.

Apparently, the english release date is September 3. I could use something different, all these shooters, secret agent shit and WW2 crap is grating on my nerves.

No idea. I haven't seen the Russian release anywhere, so I don't know if it is or not. Personally, I couldn't care less. First one was Starforce though, they are using a different publisher this time around however.

I think I saw a starforce icon in the demo folder of Star Wolves 2. I doubt Reloaded is going to take the time to crack this one if it is using Starforce.

I'm thinking your right. Not sure though. Frankly, I'd be surprised if anyone takes the time to release it all. Most of the gamers out there seem more interested in using their trigger finger instead of their brains. Wink

They don't seriously expect people to buy this game if you can't go anywhere for support in anything but russian do they?

I have played the game something like ten minutes and it is already boring me, it is ugly and seems useless... To sum up first impressions are bad.

Its like neither of those games....
It's more like a Baldurs Gate RPG with space ships mixed in with Homeworld... The RPG is the dominating thing in this space game. It isn't a space SIM at all.

Since it crashes immediately at startup, may I suggest you install a codec pack ?
(I've gotten bored saying this)
