hi guys,

im trying to find a retro PC game i used to play a few years back with my bro - i think it was something like Age of Empires 2, or Rise of Nations, something along those lines.

it was a game where we could play co-operative multiplayer over LAN but with the ability of building in the SAME VILLAGE. ie we could control the same race, have sames villagers gather wood etc and share the same resources.

does anyone remember which game it was? much appreciated for the replies

You can do that in both Rise of Nations and Empire Earth II, aswell as Starcraft if you're feeling oldschool.

(And hopefully in Supreme Commander when that gets out Very Happy It already has coop through the single player campaign)

Did i mention this is my favorite game mode? Too few games have it Sad

If you really want to have some fun on a RTS with huge battle and even cooperatives battle (yes , even in the way you describe ) just jump to TA SPRING.

It's a 'remake' of the great classic Total annihilation, with all the mods you can have a different playing experience..there are many people playing at all time (100-200) with dozens of battle going on and... it's free Very Happy

are you sure you can play as the same village in these games - i mean not necessarily the same team, but building in the same village and not have 2 separate co-ops teams? cos i remember starcraft not having this functionality i dont think...

Yeah i mean all players (that you specify/on your team) control the same units. And yes, Starcraft has it.

Age of Empires. and I know FOR SURE.

you have to do something on the game window thou, I think you had to select the same race and colour in order to control the people in the same village. me and my friends were lanning AoE once and did it by accident once.
