ok i know it looks old and chilidsh etc (http://store.vugames.com/product.asp?cookie%5Ftest=1&product%5Fid=645750&affid=9155) but i want this release.  its just 1 of them games that got my attention as i was browsin sierra.com even more disapppointed that it was released 2 weeks ago though

Vivendi Universal Games announced today that the PC strategy/simulation game Evil Genius has gone gold and will ship to retail stores worldwide on September 28th. A trial version of the game will be released on the Internet on Monday, August 30th.

In Evil Genius gamers assume the role of a wicked mastermind bent on achieving global domination through the construction of the ultimate doomsday device. A tongue-in-cheek take on the 60's spy thriller genre, Evil Genius offers the chance to be the villain and control a secret island fortress complete with powerful (and strangely dressed) henchmen, mindlessly loyal minions and a wide range of hilarious gizmos.

Looks cool, apparently Evil Genius has gone "Gold" according to Gamespot. EBGames has a release date of 9/28/04, so looks like its coming real soon.

ok weird, if you look at the gamespot review it says PC strategy game to ship worldwide September 28, demo coming August 30. and on the EBGames website it says Evil Genius Prima Strategy Guid Pre-Order: Ships on 9/22/2004 and Evil Genius Pre-Order: Ships on 9/28/2004. Somethings wrong...

Looks nice, some new game with new concept for a change.
It's a good idea to play evil, and I like the caroonish style in the game.

No, the strategy guides are always released before the game.

hehe the demo is hilarious.
capturing superheroes and interrogating them for info.
the design is like dungeon keeper,building rooms in your underground base.
i love the interrogation where u tease the superhero with a cig and then throw it away and the superhero starts crying hehe.
i cant wait to play the full game as alot of the stuff was disabled in the demo.
overall 8/10 so far.

yea this demo is nice. ill start off with the minuses 1st. the repeated animations are a bit annoying and some glitches like the builders walkthrough the main guy (you) but walk around henchmen, you have restricted build areas which i found annoying. i mean i understand it its just u can build a room however big u want (provided you have enough money) but itll build even though ull fail an objective. also you couldnt just build anyroom next to another u had to leave enough room in the rock. still onto the good bits, the graphics are average for this game but thats not important, the sound is top notch with a variety of quirky thinks. the interface is nice too but it seems to be lacking in variety. i didnt like the fact you had to click close buttons to build. killing / capturing enemies was good and nice but i woulda liked hot keys so you can make your builders retreat because i did lose one becuase he was fighting 2 on his own. still theres a lot more i can say about this game but i cant be arsed, its not what i expected as its more theme hospital type stuff but its still good and gonna be added to my want list

Well you are only suppose to put him in the cage and make your evil genius go up to him and laught at him. Nothing more then that.
