well, i'm fairly sure there won't be any specifically FOR it
as anything multithreaded or designed for multithreading will work on normal processors aswell
and making engines multithreaded has it's share of troubles (mostly timing)
so i doubt it
but they'll surely support it to the extent that they work, and you will see some positive difference in the performance as the other core offloads the background software and operating system and all as the game deals with the other one exclusively

I think he meant "What games will make use of DC CPUs?"

yep thats what i meant m8 because all these old 1s dont make use of them seeing how they wernt programmed for them hopefuklly some class titles to come up making use of dual core cpus thats what i bought mine for anyway

You can get Oblivion to share the load between 2 cores. It sped up my game quite a lot actually.

Developers dont use all the capabilities of our PCs. Because there are thousands of different hardware combinations out there. So dont expect many DC supporting games for a time. Ask yourself how many 64-bit supported games have been released. I only remember Farcry.

I hope there won't be any games which require dual-core CPUs anytime soon. I fear console ports may require it in the future (X360 and PS3 have dual-core CPUs).

like i said, no game will ever require it
all games will still work, as it's just the game split into multiple threads, which many applications have used since the dawn of multitasking, and now they just get distributed to the different cores to be processed
very few games so far take any use of it
i would guess advanced engines like crytek, unreal and oblivion and such make good use of it
and some physics middlewares make use of multithreading
the real advantage is in production software, like graphical applications.. photoshop and such
and the general smoothness of the operating system
there won't be anymore situations when one application locks up with 100% cpu use and the whole system stops responding, as there is the other processor core to take the load of the rest of the system
so you can just kill the app and go on using
or winamp skipping due to heavy cpu usage.. now it's just juggled onto the lower usage cpu and playback is uninterrupted, given that memory and disk bandwidth aren't suffocated by the intensive process
i've had a dual machine for several years now
dual processors.. there were no dual cores when i got mine
and damn, i'm never going back to a 1cpu machine
ever
it's so much smoother
it's just 2x amd 2100+ xp processors, and i can still play all the latest games with good detail.. thanks to the offloading on the second one for the background processes and system

UE3 supports multithreading, so I would guess pretty much ALL UE3 games would take advantage of it.

WOW you are stupid. Get yourself intel new core 2 duo X6800 and then you can talk to ME.
And It has to be OC ed to 3.5GHz until then I will not talk to you.
Most of the newer games will support dual core. I mean good games not crap games that run on a shiti old engine. But even when game doesn't use dual core then its nice to have one because then you can like to something with the 1st core and still play games on the 2nd core

amd gotta stop wiht the bullshit rating already. fine when it was 2000+ vs p4 2ghz, but now it just fucking retarded.
how can you say 5000+ when no 5ghz to compare it to, and it get spanked by 2.9ghz conroe?
beyond lame imo...

imho they should make some games that use the 64-bit systems first.
