i finally broke down and bought wow a few days ago. The difference between private vs retail is minimal, and soley due to bugs in private. I regret my purchase, but will enjoy the "free" month anyway.
i can has computar?!

Thats only in the first 15 or 20 levels or so. If you play longer you will really notice the difference between retail and private servers.
Any idea how hard it is to organize a 40 man Raid on a private server? But i agree you can get a good inmpression of the game the first 20 levels on a private server. But for the full wow experience you really need to play on Retail.
