Goddamn it, my usb hub just caught fire, had to flip off the power to my entire computing rig. Now it smells like burnt plastic. Luckily I had the hub isolated, so nothing else was ruined. Fuck! I've no idea, I just heard some crackling, looked over, and the LEDs were white, showing evidence of it burning up, then I smelled burned plastic. That reminds me of my 550W PSU blowing up like chinese fuck newyear at 2AM in the morning. And that plastic smell, fuckin hell I hate that shit. Kinda interested in how a usb hub caught fire though...if you find out post, I want to know

As I said I duno how it happened, might have been a power surge or something, doesn't take much current over USB to short things. I think the max alloted current is like 500mW. :S Fucking good thing I was sitting here, otherwise my entire rigwould be gone, along with my room.
