you cant. your vidcard is too new. it doesnt support whats needed for hardware mode. you need an older vidcard. this isnt a joke.

Are you completly sure about that ?
Have you tried yourself ?
If you know could you tell me what it is that my card doesnt have ?

Actually I played it on my PC just recently and I had the same problem.
It appears that on first run it used the hardware mode, but after trying to change the resolution it would revert back to software mode. That special stealth/ninja effect doesnt work properly either.
So what I did was to delete the cfg file, and then run it again. It used hardware mode but as I said, I couldnt change the resolution. So I just left it as is.
I have a Geforce 3 though so I'm not sure how it will work for you.
