Otters are fun and cuddly!
They roll, they skew, they dive!

Otters do not bitch and whine if you drink more than 12 bottles of beer!
Otters are highly civilized, they clean themselves.
Otters rock!

Otters belong in the Ocean. Not behind glass Sad

"Poke it with a stick" <---- that is what Steve Irwin would do, then he would grab it by the tail and hold it upside down saying "Craiky, look at her fight, she sure is a beauty"

Where I live Otters live in fresh water. Saltwater specialized otters are groovy little buggers too.
I find my self amused by the mental image of steve irwin holding an otter.

I would like to free all imprisoned Otters of the world. From this thought forward I will dedicate my life to freeing otters, until I forget what I was doing.
To the Ottermobile Steve!

Here we have river otters that live in both river and ocean. They were almost hunted to extinction but the population has recovered fairly well. I saw a bunch on my last trip. They are smaller than ocean otters. Ours are skinner looking

Nah, it was to far away. I was in the boat, but it just dived under when we drive towards it.

ROFL NO Very Happy

Bevers are the ones that build dams and flood areas. They have the tail. They are on some of our coinage.

River otters live in burrows in river banks and shores. Ocean otters eat by hitting shellfish on rocks on top of their stomachs. At night you can hear them go tap tap tap. It is really cool. They sleep by wrapping themselves up in kelp.

Ohh and then you have the little minkies. (mink) they are are really long and they look like farrets. They swim too. They like to chew through your food bags.

Why is it the medicine of women?

@werder
You know I have a soft spot for the lobster. Some of them in the stores for eating are 20 yrs old.

@syco
If you were a shark in otter land you would be doing the back stroke!!! Our water is far to cold for you. I don’t know where the overlap is tho. No otter hunting for you Sad You could be a transient ocra and go seal hunting.

Predators to a Sea Otter are sharks, bald eagles,
coyotes that eat their babies, humans, killer whales, and some bears.

But it also goes on to say:
Fishermen
boaters
oil spills
littering
illegal poaching..... basically us, is the main threat.
