I was just wondering if this game has been released yet as a torrent file. Ive searched for it but havent found it. The game was released april 9th so i find it weird theres no torrent file on the net yet. Anyone know what the reason might be?

More info about whirlwind over vietnam: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/sim/whirlwindofvietnam/index.html?q=whirlwind%20in%20vietnam

US publisher's game page:
http://www.evolvedgames.com/whirlwindvietnam.htm
================================
Quote:
This Spring, budding helicopter pilots and flight simulation fans will get their hands on the U.S. release of Whirlwind Over Vietnam: UH-1, the latest offering from Moscow-based publisher and developer 1C. 1C, of course, developed the now-classic IL-2 Sturmovnik series, which recreated WWII dogfights featuring the Russian prop-driven fighter plane of the same name. Whirlwind, meanwhile, puts the player in the pilot's seat of the famous UH-1 Huey helicopter during the Battle of Ia Drang Valley at the outset of the Vietnam War. It promises to continue the IL-2 tradition of an astonishing level of detail and faithfulness to the physics of flight.

================
only US version, distributed by Evolved Games
UK release: TBA (Upcoming)
rls: 9 - 10 apr.
Released in Russia: 15-Sep-2006 (1C)

that's pretty much impossible, because it's a flight sim with a ton of specific texts and I can't imagine any reason for someone to translate it for free.

Go read up at SimHQ and youll see this title isnt even worth getting excited about.Arcade style flight model and only 10 quick missions with no decent campaign model.

what i mean is that the english text is already there somewhere just that it has not been enabled. Ive heard before with other games that the english version is there but its not enabled so t hen someone moded the game so it would be in english, maybe it works here too?

Haha..

Just to enlighten you or whatever. I have a 100mbit connection, I have access to a pretty good FTP-ring. I'm a member on a pretty good torrentsite.

They both get releases fairly quick.

I get 8mb/s max from my ftp. I get 9mb/s+ from my torrentsite.

Torrents are here to stay and even though it wasnt very "elite" to begin with, it is closing the gap really quick.

The game actually looks kind of cool. Reminds me of the good old MI-24 Hind from back in the day, picking up soldiers and what not.

Yeah cause what you quoted is everything i had to say.

The reason I explained how fast my connection is was because if I had a 1mbit then it wouldn't have mattered at all. Then i would just max it out on both.

My point was that torrents have alot of advantages.

Oh and for the record my cock is freaking huge!

WOV doesnt even compare to Digital Integrations HIND.HIND is a much more rich sim with 2 theatres and much more freedom in missions.(troop carrying,mine laying,bombing,tactical air support)

In WOV all you do is act as a gunship.You do not pick up and drop off troops.That feature was not included.You only fly support missions attacking targets.By the way HIND does run on Win XP. Smile
